Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Carbon Emissions Analyst to join our Energy Engineering team. As a Carbon Emissions Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and assessing carbon emissions data related to energy and utilities projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and identifying opportunities for emission reduction strategies.
Responsibilities:
1. Collect and analyze carbon emissions data from various sources, such as energy generation facilities, industrial processes, and transportation.
2. Conduct comprehensive data validation and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of carbon emissions data.
3. Develop and maintain robust databases and software systems for carbon emissions tracking and reporting purposes.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement emission reduction strategies, including energy efficiency measures, renewable energy solutions, and process optimization.
5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented emission reduction strategies, and provide recommendations for further improvements.
6. Stay updated with emerging industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to carbon emissions and sustainability.
7. Prepare accurate and detailed reports, presentations, and documentation on carbon emissions data analysis, trends, and compliance status.
8. Liaise with internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and external partners to ensure compliance with carbon emissions standards and reporting requirements.
9. Support in the development and implementation of carbon emissions reduction targets and sustainability goals.
10. Conduct periodic audits and assessments to identify potential non-compliance issues and propose corrective actions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Solid understanding of energy systems, utilities, and carbon emissions measurement methodologies.
3. Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in the field of energy and utilities.
4. Proficient in using data analysis tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and statistical analysis software.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify key insights.
6. Excellent knowledge of environmental regulations and standards related to carbon emissions.
7. Familiarity with sustainability practices, renewable energy technologies, and energy efficiency concepts.
